In her presentation, Georgieva disclosed the IMF’s projection of a notable decrease in global interest rates by mid-2024, indicating a favorable trajectory for the world economy. She underscored the resilience of the United States economy, citing robust fundamentals and strategic advantages such as energy self-sufficiency.
Responding to inquiries about the US’s economic resilience, Georgieva highlighted factors including proactive government support for businesses and households during crises, contributing to sustained demand and labor market stability.
