Kenya is gearing up for digital transformation with support from international allies, notably Germany.
Lufthansa Industry Solutions, known for its IT consulting and systems integration expertise, has unveiled plans to invest in Kenya. CEO Jörn Messner and Chief Commercial Officer Joern-Matthias Derrer led a delegation that met with Kenya’s Principal Secretary for Information Technology, Communications, and Digital Economy, John Kipchumba Tanui, to explore collaboration opportunities.
“We’re looking into investing in Kenya and setting up our operations here,” Tanui shared, highlighting Kenya’s proactive approach to attracting investments that drive economic growth and innovation.
Part of the Lufthansa Group, Lufthansa Industry Solutions specializes in digital solutions across industries, from enhancing aviation processes with integrated flight folders (iFF) to improving digital documentation for airlines and providing tailored private 5G networks.
The partnership aims to boost Kenya’s tech infrastructure and enhance its digital capabilities, supporting Kenya’s ambition to lead in tech innovation in East Africa.
With Kenya already hosting tech giants like AWS and Microsoft, teaming up with Lufthansa Industry Solutions underscores its appeal as a hub for advanced digital solutions and investments. This collaboration promises to bring substantial benefits to Kenya’s economy while reinforcing its position as a regional digital leader.
