Share

Dubai Investments Park (DIP) Angola has announced a significant step forward in its development journey through a strategic collaboration with China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd (CHEC) for Phase 1A Infrastructure Development. This partnership marks a pivotal moment in the creation of a modern, 2,000-hectare mixed-use residential, commercial, and industrial hub in Angola, Africa.

CHEC, a renowned international civil engineering firm with a strong presence in Angola, has been appointed as the main contractor for Phase 1A infrastructure works. These include essential components such as road construction, stormwater management systems, water supply, and electrical infrastructure. The completion timeline for these crucial works is set at 10 months.

Commenting on the partnership, Omar Al Mesmar, General Manager of Dubai Investments Park, emphasized the importance of establishing robust infrastructure as a foundation for sustainable growth and economic prosperity. He highlighted the role of Phase 1A infrastructure in attracting investment, fostering job creation, and supporting the local community.

The planned road network and stormwater management systems aim not only to facilitate smooth traffic flow but also to enhance the overall resilience of the area against flooding. Additionally, the provision of reliable water and electrical systems is essential to support the needs of residents, businesses, and industries within DIP Angola.

Xiaoying Hao, General Manager of CHEC’s Southern Africa Division, expressed confidence in the partnership’s ability to deliver high-quality infrastructure that meets the requirements of DIP Angola and its stakeholders. He emphasized CHEC’s commitment to leveraging its expertise and resources to contribute to Angola’s infrastructure landscape positively.

In line with its commitment to sustainability, DIP Angola aims to minimize environmental impact and promote resource efficiency through eco-friendly practices and resilient infrastructure development. This approach aligns with the project’s broader vision of becoming a premier destination for mixed-use development in Africa.

Developed by Dubai Investments International Angola, Phase 1A infrastructure works represent a significant milestone in DIP Angola’s journey towards realizing its full potential as a key player in Angola’s development landscape.

The partnership between DIP Angola and CHEC underscores the potential for collaborative efforts to drive sustainable development and economic growth in Angola and beyond.
